Dearest gentle friends and socialites,

You are cordially invited to step back through time to attend “A Night of Smoke and Silk,” hosted by Strasburg Rail Road. This evening’s gala transports our guests to 1871 in lieu of the tragic fire that befell our beloved rail road on January 16 of that year. Esteemed guests, you are encouraged to dress in your finest Victorian era-inspired attire and enjoy a delicious dinner catered by our very own Café 1832. But our gala is soon brought to a screaming halt when a dead body is discovered! We invite you to immerse yourselves in this world and help our witty Detective Punch solve the case of murder.

Our first-class train cars will escort you all through the beautiful countryside to the gala held at The Barn at Paradise Station. Inauguration into this immersion begins as guests are encouraged to eavesdrop on several crucial conversations heard aboard their train car. Please ensure you arrive at the Strasburg Rail Road station 30 minutes prior to departure to ensure a smooth boarding experience.

The train experience portion of this event is not ADA accessible. If you require ADA assistance, please call 717-687-8421 x147. Handicap parking is available on site at The Barn at Paradise Station, which is climate controlled and fully ADA.

5:00 Train Departure

5:45 – 6:00pm arrive at The Barn at Paradise for the Gala

6:00 – 6:30 Cocktails and Music

6:30 – 7:30pm Dinner & Drama

7:30 – 9:00pm Welcome Speech & More Drama

9:00 – 9:50pm – Dessert & Debrief with the cast.

9:50pm- Board the Train to return to the station.

10:00pm Train Departure from The Barn at Paradise Station
